Cat or bullet insert Right now I am running Mac Mid's with ORY and 4" Corsas out the back. I have a horrible rasp between 2400 and 2800 RPM's, but past that at WOT the car sounds awesome (to me). I really want to get rid of the rasp and with money limits I am trying to figure out what is the best way to go and which would cause less HP loss
What I would love to do is get another Mac Y pipe and have hi-flows welded in. This would be great because I can trade back and forth. Another reason for getting the cats is the hassle of getting the car inspected around here is getting worse and worse (Cats/egr is deleted, they all look under the car).
I have also considered a Bullet muffler in the I-pipe. This would be cheapest, but wouldn't help the inspection route.
Curious what route people have taken and how much HP loss can I expect with them?
