Question About Headers & Y-Pipe
Im trying to figure out the difference between the short length as well as the mid length.
Right now I have long tube headers as well as a Y-Pipe on my car now.
My question: Which length gives the most noise and which gives the least?
I have already listened to some of the sounds but I am still confused.
Anyones thoughts on that?

I dont think it will.
A better cat means more airflow.
LT's are so open they make a car run rich w/o a tune, causing a wierd exhaust smell.
My guess is that a highflow cat would only make it worse. Just run better gas.
And for the record.... There are some nice Mids out there... but always stay away from shorties.
Do you know that everytime I go on this forum I end up going to search to find my own posts?
Anyway, I do have the cats on.
I use good gas as well, either Shell or Chevron 91 octane.
So far the more I drive it the smell seems to be subsiding some.
At least I dont get tailgated anymore.
I noticed since I got these headers installed (Oct.9th) people seem to be keeping there distance.
