Question True Dual X-Pipe setup VS aftermarket Y-Pipe setup...

posting for a friend - ok i got LM1 right now and am trying to debate on what would i benefit the most from. the car will see a heads and cam setup SOON and will eventually see a forced induction setup (undecided on).

*which would pull more power out...
QTP's, ORY, & GMMG
OR
QTP's, no cats, 3" X-Pipe True Duals with Dynomax bullets?

*how much of a sound difference would there be?

*how much if any power can i be looking to gain depending on the setup?

QTPs with true duals will give more power, sound better with less rasp, but will be LOUD! If not worried about noise, go with true duals.

2.5 inch duals with either spiral flow mufflers or single chamber flows. Dual 3" is overkill, 2.5 is plenty.

i run true duals, and ive got a local club where we meet up every thursday night.. ive gotten comments that my cars one of the best sound ls1 cars around.
mods in sig... in my opinion w TD's you CANNOT go wrong.. they muffle the exhaust just enough, to where its loud but not too loud, and they by far can put out the most HP. TD's are the least restricting exhaust in my opinion because theyre almost like running straight pipes with small mufflers.
TD's all the way

yes and no

under the car theres not really that much clearance, and depending on how much power you plan to put out is how wide youll want to go..This is the exhaust I have right now

It has 3" piping, and I really dont have clearance issues. Its really your choice man, Id say 3" just because itll support more HP, but 2.5 is plenty for like 400-500..
