What's most important to her is the sound of the car. She loves mine for that reason (cam, headers, cutout). She drives fast, yes...but I can tame her....lol. We test drove a Mustang GT today...that thing sound like an animal but was slow as ****, she still liked it just coz of the sound.

I bought an Acura CL a year ago for a "good deal" 11 DAYS LATER the transmission blew and it cost $3900 to replace. The dealer knew about it and I got scamed. Trust me that car is bad news.

Check to see if it has a cam. If it does don't even consider it for a girl DD. She won't like the powerband, and will always complain of the gas mpg.
Also, if there are Drag radials then the car has been ran, plain and simple. Check to see if the speedo works with the tires (ie someone programmed the car, thus it has been computer modded). 1) Sell the car and make a profit
2) Get rid of the car and cut his losses
Dont trust the salesman, only your knowledge.

I'd say that Z has had the **** beaten out of it. You don't throw M/T drag radials on an LS1 and drive it like a grandma, that's a given. I'm willing to bet that it's been cammed and stalled in the past, probably sprayed too
I'd look for one that has been garage kept by an older guy

Ok....this is ALL you're getting! This is an older pic of her, the first ones are much more current...but all that changed was the hair style.
We went and bought a 03 Mustang GT today, 25k miles, with extended 6 year/72000 mile warranty. Fully loaded with all the premium stuff for 15900. We gave up on finding a good LS1 car, especially coz of the financing. Noone would finance an 02 for her, and we just couldn't find any affordable low mileage cars.
After test driving the Mustang, I was certain that it is slow enough to keep her out of trouble. The main thing she wants is sound, and a Mustang can be made to sound truley awesome. Any cost effective suggestions?

SLP does make a loudmouth system for the Mustang gt. Thunder Racing (sponsor>) carries em, but what I'd do is get an off road H (Mac) pipe that mates up to the stock exhaust manifolds and Flowmaster catback. This would give you the loud Flowmaster Mustang sound for not too much money and could easily be swapped back and fourth by your self. Thunder sells this stuff too.
Yeah....I was just thinking slp loudmouth catback....the magnaflow probably would not be loud enough. And no, I don't think she wants headers and all that...she has a car payment now...lol
slp loud mouth sounds like crap on a mustang. just the cat back sounds sweet but when u put a ory on it it is waay too raspy and is obnoxious just like on a fbody. if she just wants sound get the slp loudmouth catback or try magnaflow as well.
