Gap on spark plugs Im ordering some trk 55's and some msd super conductor wires for my SS not sure what yo guys mean when you talk about gaping plugs.......please explain////help me on what to do here. thanks
It's the gap where the spark fires on a plug. Go to your local Autozone type place and you can get a $0.99 tool at the counter that'll measure the gap. The guy behind the counter can explain how to use it to set the desired gap.

"Gapping the plugs" means using the above show tool to measure and set to some specified value (e.g. 0.045") the gap on each spark plug before inserting them into the heads.
The wire loops have specific thicknesses (stamped next to each loop), and are used to guage the plug gap (drag the loop thru the gap; the gap is the loop size when the loop drags with some resistance);
The hooky things are to lever/bend the ground electrode (attached to the threaded portion of the plug) to change the gap dimension.
