Question exaust size difference Q

I have the stock exaust on my 98 Camaro SS except for a flowmaster muffler and shorty headers. What kind of improvement can I expect if I go to a 2 1/2 inch dual and get rid of the cats? The stock exaust is fairly large on the SS, so is it worth the difference?

how bout this instead?
ditch the shorties period and get some LT's w/ ORY and go 2.5 true duals. thats a BIG power increase there. that flowmaster is hurting you some along with the headers

actaully now that I read your sig...

your major restriction is the entire exhaust system. you need LT's ORY a GOOD cat-back or duals if you can pass emissions w/ it!!

dont forget either, dunno if thats all your mods or not but you need some intake stuff to feed that motor
