Check the hangar on the driver's side of the muffler. The hangar on my '98Z is different than the hangar on my '94Z. I had to use a bent up clotheshangar to temporarily hold my SLP 2-on-the-left from my '94 on my '98. (finished putting grots / 3" O-R-Y / SLP exhaust on my '98 today <img src="images/icons/smile.gif" border="0"> )

So, it will fit, but you may have a hangar issue.
