Default lid question...

What is that hole on the side on my SLP lid? It has the hoses running to it...Is it useful? I was wondering because It looks pretty bad.

Are you talking about the hole on the back?

If so, you probbly are talking about the IAT sensor for your A.I.R. system.
What year is your car and what year lid did you order?

He's got a 2002 from looking his sig and username. I think he is talking about the AIR tube going down to the AIR pump. You could delete this if you want. You'll have to get some block off plates for your manifolds. You will throw a code in a few days if you disconnect it. Your SLP lid should have came with a rubber plug I believe. Just plug up the hole that's like 1 1/8" big.

It does have a use, it's where your AIR pump sucks filtered air from.
If you disconnect the hose and plug the hole you will need to put a breather on the end of the hose that you disconnected.
As mentioned by SweetTbone you could delete your whole AIR system if you want to clean your engine bay up a little.
