Map Sensor Removal (Help with Clip)
Hey guys,
I am trying to replace the map sensor without removing the intake. I can get my hand on the sensor and can feel the clip but Im unsure how to unclip it without breaking it (like most people do). Do I lift up, push back, need a screw driver or what? Here is a pic I found on here of the sensor and clip. Please help!!! #5 in the pic

oil sender unit #2 is what usually breaks during an intake install. Just push on the clip part while wiggling the MAP sensor hard, it should come out ok. The map sensor is not actually held in place too securly, it uses manifold vacuum + a rubber gasket seal on the sensor to keep it sealed.

That MAP has a tab securing it to the intake manifold seen circled in white...
A cross section of that looks like this (tab in blue)
It has to be pushed rearward, toward the firewall and then the MAP will pull out vertically.

P.S. Its a solid clip, but the MAP wiggles a little bit so you may not have to push it that far rearward to free the MAP. It would def be tough with the motor in the car.
P.P.S. how the hell did you get such a good pic of that area?
