madman has them for 599.99. i paid 630+shipping from dynatech themselves. got them in three days! great customer service. i JUST got mine in today! weird coincidence! probably got the same batch. i will be installing them this weekend. hopefully the fitment will be better than a buddy of mines. the passenger side was not a fun job! good luck.

by the way, what are you doing with your Y-pipe? are you have a local shop fab one? just wondering. i dont know of a y-pipe that will fit it. i am not sure if FLP's will a) clear my lowered car without banging the floor and b) fit since the collectors are slip on.

let me know bud.

John

oh and those prices are with the collectors (100 a piece coated though). i have talked to dynatech and they have an agreement that there will be no vendor that will charge less then the price from the factory direct. yea that makes no sense, but i have called all over the place. no one budges on these. not even 20 bucks! makes me feel silly but oh well.

Does anyone know what size headers these are ?? 1 3/4" or 1 7/8"...I don't believe Dynatech has released any of the stepped 1 7/8 headers yet...I believe this will be the way to go with the bigger cube LS1's !!! ...IMO...

when i talked to dynatech, they said that they are very close to finishing and releasing the steeped header. for the big cube guys, it is the way to go. they said that there was no fitment issues too! hard to imagine!

I have these headers -> only problem...they are a BITCH to seal with the slip-on collectors. Good luck not getting any leak-by right in front of the O2 sensors.

Funny you should mention leak-by, I was thinking (when this was first posted) how it would be difficult to seal that slip on collector. The O2 sensors are *so* sensitive to leaks, even small ones can throw off the computer.

For open loop race-only, I could see where these would be nice. But for closed loop operation, that slip fit collector looks like (MHO) trouble.

Good luck, they are pretty.

i have not yet personally installed a set but the headers on the passenger side required the motor mounts to be loosened and the motor to be lifted up a few inches. also the same side had clearance problems with the floorboard! we called dynatech and they said that was not normal at all. too late now. we will see how mine go one this weekend. the last set required "custom bending" near the collector. hate to bang up nearly 650 dollar headers! they are so pretty too.

I was told that these would be equal length headers? That looks to be not the case.

Why have slip on collectors if they can cause problems? Is it an installtion thing? I'll bet it'd sound cool w/o the collector, esp. on a big cube/cam car kinda like zoomies

Yes the new stepped headers are about done. My car is Dynatech prototype test car. I seen the stepped headers the other week they are completey bad ***. Im Waitin on my stepped headers to get done at jet hot then they will be on my car. I had them weld my collectors up on my new set. The fitment is also great. Then i will be off to the dyno. Also will be selling the old set pictured on the first page of the post for $450. Collectors and all. There about 4 months old I Picked up 4/10 on the motor when i was stock. That was in the 1/8. and 3 mph
