Default Kooks V. Qtp

I have heard mostly good things form both companies and they are very close in price. Looking for people's input on which is the better header and why. One issue with QTP that i have is that all i can find is an aluminized OFY pipe, and KOOKs is SS. But one thing that scares me about the KOOKs is that i have heard about "fit" issues, leaking constantly, and this scares me to no end. Have not heard anything about a bad fit on the QTP, but i don't like the aluminized ORY. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I'm all about the Kooks. FWIW, I didn't have any fitment or leaking probs with Kooks. I read that Kooks was one of the better fitting and had the best clearence. Y-pipe being stainless steel sealed the deal. Didn't have to grind anything to install them. Comes with 3 band clamps that won't leak. I didn't have to change my motor mounts either. Kooks is the probably the only header that you won't need Poly Motor Mounts with.

My advice, is read some more. I read for months before I made my decision. I have read about bad fitting QTPs and others having issues with Kooks. George @ Kooks will do everything he can to make it right should you have a problem with Kooks.

Qtp a a bad batch of maybe 20headers, problems are fixed, QTPs are the best hands down, QTP all the way, fitment is great.

I have kooks in mine and the drivers side was a pain for me to get in but my friend came over and put it up an in, less than two seconds. (my first time) But they fit like they came with the car. No y pipe banging or anything. Great quality product, but im sure QTP is on the same level. Either way you can't go wrong

I have Kooks 1-7/8th's. The driver side was a BITCH to get in, passenger side needed K-member grinding to fit. They are really nice now though.

You can't beat a Kooks Y-pipe for clearance, hands down. They are the best fitting I've ever seen.
