EGR removal.

I have searched and havent found an answer....so I removed my egr from the intake and manifold. The two hoses met at some electrical sensor on top of motor attached to a bracket. Now that i removed the bracket and sensor I have a loose/unconnected wire just hangin out on top of motor. Is this normal? Thanks.

Yes, that is normal. I ended up using some electrical tape on the EGR connector to protect it/get it out of the way. Don't mind the filthy engine.

Did you have your EGR codes removed ?can you remove AIR/EGR without tuning first any loss in drivebility?

a tune can delete out the codes, but even if they arent tuned driveability remians the same as far as I know

Did you remove the pipe going into the intake or just cut it.i ordered a removal kit it comes w/ the metal plates to block the manifold,but nothing to cover the intake???

I just recently deleted both the AIR and EGR codes. I drove around for almost a year with those codes and didn't have one problem.

I completely removed the EGR pipe going into the intake. To cover the hole, you will want to pick up a 1 3/8" freeze/expansion plug from a local auto/hardware store.
