Question borla CB question?

I have a 2001 ws6 with a borla catback. I am ordering pacesetters soon, and my question is should I go with an off road y-pipe or catted? I've heard there is a wrasp with an off road pipe. I want to know if anyone has encounted this.

Thanks
-Jeff

I love my Borla catback w/LT's and ory. You can always close it up a lil to reduce some volume, or put a manual cut out where the plates go.

Borla sounds terrible without cats. "Rasp" isn't even a strong enough word...sounds like a chainsaw under throttle.

Do you want power or do you want it to sound cool? I think I just answered your question with a question.

simple:

w/ cats - smoother sound, smog legal, quieter, less rasp.
w/o cats - more raw, louder, more rasp.

whichever you prefer. I like it without cats, liven it up a little bit haha.

The power of it? Yeah, it severely outperforms all other catbacks.

Those plates are all about noise. My car did under 2rwhp difference between completely closed and open, and that was at 450rwhp. That's a small enough difference to attribute to dyno error.
