'98-'99 Lid, Making it work on an '02???

'98-'99 Lid, Making it work on an '02??? Hey fellas, question: What does it take (other than removing all the EGR/AIR stuff, and tuning it out) to make a lid for '98-'99 model work on a '00-'02 car? Can I just get a breather filter for the AIR tube and tuck it away? Will that throw any codes? The reason for asking is that I can get a pretty good deal on a used carbon fiber unit. Any help is appreciated.

The 99 lid will fit your car. You'll need a small filter for the AIR pump tube. You can find one from our sponsors, or grab one at your local Pep Boys (import section)
The actual lid for a 98-02 are the same*. The difference is the AIR pump tube that attaches to the stock lids on the 00-02. All but SLP uses a small filter to cap off the AIR system. *SLP lids have a hole to attach the AIR tube straight to the lid.

If you are going to remove the EGR & AIR and tune out all the codes then any lid will fit. Since you'll be ripping the AIR out you won't need a filter for the breather tube.

Cool, that's what I needed to hear.
cobrakillerta, at the moment I just plan on keeping the egr/air intact, so i'll go with the breather route. Thanks fellas!!
