oil cap neck thingy

oil cap neck thingy hey guys, well how does that thing that the oil cap screws into come off? the oil cap neck?? i have no earthly idea on how to move that sucker... so any help is appreciated
it twists off. theres a little ear in there that keeps you from just twisting it off by hand, but if you take a pair of channel locks and bite down on that big flat part (looks like a big flat plastic washer, down next to the valve cover), and then twist, it'll come right out.

honestly, i couldnt see the clips on mine from the bottom side of the valve cover anyway. thats why i refered to the pliers
