Default Headers ???

Ok, don't want to sound like a cheap *** but...is it worth paying the extra money to get coated headers?

Yes it is...headers tremendously reduce heat from your engine.

umm yes, yes and yes....

if u dont get coated headers they will be all rusty in a month, so dish out the extra couple dollars and get the coated ones...

plus coated headers look badass... and if your on a budget )like most people are) look into a set of pasesetter longtubes, they are prolly the most used headers on f-bodys..i think texas-speed.com has the best deal on them... or the ebay stainless headers (growing fast in popularity and seem to fit very well)

Coated pacesetters will eventually rust regardless of how you drive, the only other option is stainless if you want to pay for them.
