180 degree headers

180 degree headers
Hello all,
I'm putting an LS2/T-56 combo into a car I am building (basically from scratch) and have a question about exhaust.
I've designed the car in such a way that I should have clearance to fabricate and install a 180 degree header setup for the engine. I searched here for info regarding performance gains on the LSx engines with a 180 degree system and just found one or two threads discussing the theoretical aspects.
My question is, has anyone had any experience with actual performance gains on an LSx engine by utilizing 180 degree headers? I'm trying to decide if it is worth the time and effort to build them.
Thanks for any input.

There were a few prototypes built for C5s and talked about on corvetteforum.com. No real results were posted but you might be able to talk to the designer on what they saw.
