High flow cats on stock exhaust?
High flow cats on stock exhaust? Hey... I was wondering since I'm on a budget, would high flow cats be a good idea to free up some air flow? I have an '02 SS with the SLP CME. Let me know what you guys think I should do or not to do. Thanks

That sounds like a pointless thing to do in my opinion. Unless you want to change out your manifolds to headers for power I wouldn't bother. Maybe you should just swap your muffler but I'm sure you've got the same SLP Dual outlet as myself which already flows very well and is quiet.
Also just to add, noticing you're in CA, you really might as well not bother touching the exhaust unless you're gonna go for it with the longtubes like I mentioned. Either way, what you want to do is technically illegal so don't go through the hassle of changing out the converters only.

I blew out one of my stock cats and replaced them with the Random Tech setup. It worked great for me (in fact ALL the problems I developed later came immediately after my LTs were installed).
