you also need to cut a little bit off the a/c condenser shroud thing under the air box.
and cut the air box leaving a lip of about 5/8" all around for the filter tray to sit.
installuniversity.com has the full FRA mod and lid install if you aren't sure how much to cut on both parts or how to do somthing.
if you choose to go with an aftermarket ram air kit like SSRA or FTRA or SLP CAI and the like, you'll need to cut that shroud anyways.. I noticed a difference just by doing the FRA without a lid.

well i just installed my lid and i really happy with how it looks, but i wont find out performence wise until it comes out of storage, i had a real pain in the *** of a time getting the MAF off the old intake, had to cut it off actually. but its on there
