how much of a performance gain is there by taking the cat off???

What are your mods...the more mods your have the more you stand to gain. On an otherwise stock motor (or catback/intake) probably about +1 to +5.

we did a back to back at school on an SS with stock headers, fast 90/90 and lid

only saw 1hp gain on the top end...

I can tell you at the track you will see a difference. And you should be able to feel the difference on the street.

Stock cats with a tune Ive heard gives around 10 HP, but hi flow cats dont yeild much
