I agree with the Stainless Steel part. Depends on budget and how long you plan on having your car and if you drive in snow or rain. Kooks Longtubes and Kooks Catted Y here.

I smell a coming.

I also have a LM and I went with pacesetter LT's and the 3 in catted Y-pipe from TSP. I will never understand why you would pay $700-$800 or sometimes more for some headers when you can get them for less than half of that with pacesetters. It's not like those expensive *** headers will get you 50 more HP, all they do is empty your wallet.

loudmouth sounds like *** with headers. Did you already put it on?

Pacesetters, XS, Kooks, QTP, are the top headers people are running. The last 3 are stainless steel and the first one (coated) is the least expensive.

go with some pacesetters or hooker long tubes if money is a issue, you will love them. With your loudmouth it will be very loud and raspy with long tubes. I would actuall suggest to get a new catback. Even if you go with a catted y-pipe it will still be very loud.

+2. I have the exact same exhaust, and love it. I think it sounds fantastic, I like the rasp and growl at highway speeds. It's loud, you won't sneek up on anyone with it, but you'll for sure be noticed. There is really no HUGE differance between pacesetters and kooks, which are $400 more. "Someone" tried selling me kooks over pacesetters.....said there were 'fitment issues' with pace, and I'd get '10-12hp more' with kooks...yeah right. For the cost of kooks headers alone, I got pacesetter, catted Y (which is $350), and two 02 extensions. Especially if you're going to redo the entire exhaust with a turbo in a year or two, just save your money, get the pacesetters and enjoy them.
