Default Hole in header!!!!

Has anybody ever had the weld break where the air tube hooks up? Can it be fixed? I don't even run the air pump so if I could just weld in a piece to cover it would it be ok? It's a hole alittle bigger than a quarter. These are hooker longtubes with the jet hot coating. They are about 4 years old.

Let me know what you would do. Thanks.

yeah, you can just clean up the area and have it welded up. pretty common from what I have seen.

I wonder if it can be done on the car? I really don't want to have to take it off.

I doubt it can be done on the car and still get a good weld, best thing would be to take it off and have it welded nicely

I had that happen on the EGR bung on my current headers about 4-5 years ago. I bought some of that high-temp exhaust paste that solidifies. I gooped in in the hole and it hasn't leaked since. But, part of the tube was still sticking off the primary so it may not be so easy for you.
