Oil Temp gauge Mechanical or electric?
I have seen many people running the electric oil temp gauge. I am planning on running some Auto meter Phantom gauges and would like to not run the short sweep. I noticed that there is only a full sweep in mechanical. Is anyone running a mechanical oil temp gauge? I plan on running the sending unit into the piece above the oil filter.

ya, ive herd of a few peeps using them, the main thing is to make sure you tie the plastic tube back really well, or even use copper.

Ok so i am getting ready to install mechanical oil gauge today and the mechanical sender is pretty big. It basically has a pretty large an fitting with a metal tip similar to what a mechanical water temp gauge has. Has anyone found a fitting that adapts well to the oil piece beside the filter?
