Just run a ypipe with high flow converters, why bother or trouble for just a few hp.

It depends on what state you live in -some states won't do a visual inspection as long as you can pass an OBD test without throwing codes. Check your local laws before you spend any money on parts that you might not need.

I wouldn't recommend anyone not to run cats, regardless of what your local smog place does, it's not legal, not to mention other reasons to run cats...like helping get rid of that gas smell, and actually ridding the air of toxins....

Get the cats. It will make things smell better, cut down on rasp so it sounds better (With certain catbacks. Some C/B sound better with ORY IMO.) and you'll be all set if your emissions test comes around. If you KNOW you have to deal with emissions, do it right the first time.

exactly!!!!!!!! you will pick up no more than 5rwhp running no cats vs. high flow cats. i have the dynatech supermaxx system w/ high flow cats on my car and love it. ig you have a full aftermarket exhaust, you need as much back pressure you can create! i have the original loud mouth catback so my entire car's exhaust is almost free flowing.
the only thing with passing emissions and having LTs and aftermarket parts, ect... you'll need 02 sims. otherwise you will fail emissions and have to get that fixed b4 you can go back and get the pass sticker.
