Default Stock heads?

I'm just curious if the 243 heads were a stock casting number for the '01 t/a's...
I noticed that my had has them when I bought it a few months back and I'm wondering if I'll see much of a gain in going to aftermarket ones, or should I spend the money else where?

Should have been in the Internal Engine section...

But to answer the question. No 243 heads were not stock on LS1 F-bodies. That is the LS6 head.

The 01 & 02 F-bodies had 241 casting numbers.

Ooooh...

Maybe I should take another peek just to double check that number.

Is there any way to check its a run of the mill ls6 head (presuming I did readit correctly) or an aftermaerket unit?
IE: other casting numbers, model numbers, ect...
