One of my cats broke.... Last night I was getting ready to race and did a test run. Right when I shifted into third it sounded like a damn semi downshifting. Turns out right where the manifold bolts on to the y pipe the weld must of been shitty and it broke off. Now I have a car that sounds like absolute ****. Loud as hell but a nasty loud. Now I need to weld it back on or get long tubes 
I did get a letter in the mail not too long ago about the cats being covered up to 10 years or 120k miles. Something about being defective or some ****. Anyone got any info on that? Would it cover my problem? It was the driver side cat that broke. I have a cutout, should I take it off before I take it in?
btw I still raced the car and beat an auto Camaro SS and an LS1 GTO I was on street tires and had to let off to get traction. I was chirping third. Cold night and Hercules tires are not a good combo.
