What should my car idle at?

I have had 1 7/8 kooks,ory,magnaflow,ls6 intake and 3800 stall fitted recently and my cars idle is about 500rpms and sometimes when my car is in full steering lock it will stall is it cause the idle is to low? and should my car idle at about 800rpms.

it should be beteween 8-900 rpms

have you had a tune since installing the headers and intake? it shouldn't have change much even w/o a tune.

Well when my car is in drive and i stop at a light i believe im at like 500-600 rpms but if i put it in neutral its at like 800-900.. Hope this helps

6spd should be 800-900 or higher depending on mods (cam, etc.)

Auto should be 600ish (as shown above in that table, 550 at usual warm), or a bit higher on a modded (again, read cammed) car.

So if its idle is correct according to this table it is why when full steering lock is on it stalls?

I dont know I will check it, doesnt stall all the time just some times.

Well actually a VAC leak would cause higher RPM idle. I don't know what I was thinking when I typed that. I doubt that you have a leak. Best way to find out is have a Tech II hooked up to the car. That is if you have access to anything like that.
