Default coils

ok so these 6.0 coil packs are they really that much better then the 5.7 coil packs? are the 4.8 and 5.3 different as well? and do the connectors for the coils interchange or do i need to get the pigtails to?

the normal 5.7 coils are jsut fine no need to upgrade

unless your pushing ALOT of HP meaning above 6-700 the stock ignition will work just fine no real gains

well from what GM says.. the newer style coil packs are more efficient ... but the other guys are right.. you really dont need the upgrade.. unless you are getting them dirt cheap or free.

if you wanted to upgrade your coil packs that bad, you can go with MSDs.

Don't use the MSD's as there have been issues with them. Not sure if MSD has fixed it yet. Truck coils are only necessary for high HP like a big FI setup. Other than that it isn't needed and stock will be fine.

I was at SEMA in November and even the guys from MSD were shaking their heads about their coil packs. Stick with the stock ones.
