Default Stock PCV question

Is that solid rubber tubing that is connnected to the part of the vaccum hose that the PCV sits in and to the engine of any importance?

Not really. It does hold a ground strap I think.

it looks like a strap to keep that house that the pvc valve is in from straying away from that location... i couldn't see anything of it being used as a ground connection.

Yea, you don't really need it. I think I took all that off when I put my catch can on.
