y pipe rattles

y pipe rattles does anybody have a solution to stop my y-pipe from rattling against the body? i took it to a muffler shop and the guy told me i shouldnt weld a bracket to it b/c it can break the header...any other suggestions???
mufflex makes a clamp that has a rubber bump on it to prevent the metal pipe from hitting your car. I bought one but when I installed my ORY pipe I welded it well enough to keep it farther away from the car, not to mention the M6 swap helped it a lot too
