Well I am going to be the first person to tell you and use the search button. There are a lot of similar posts out there just like this one. Basically start with a lid and then catback. Then get headers off road y pipe. Those are the most common bolt-ons. That will put you somewhere in 350ish area maybe higher since you have m6. Tune helps as well. For 400 hp you might consider a new cam.

Headers/ORY/catback, lid, pulley, LS6 manifold (if 98-00), ported throttle body, tune. You'll make 400hp at the crank easily (stock is 350 if you have an LS1, despite the model car it's in)

400hp is about 340rwhp (with a 6-speed). There's no way you can make 400rwhp with an LS1 and boltons. Read the stickies at the top of this section and the newb section, you'll gain much more knowledge than starting a thread.

400bhp (flywheel) is possible but it's about the bolt on limit.

For the most cost effective gains you'll want some bolt ons and a cam. Check my sig for a link to a mod guide and also read the stickys.

How many times can people possibly ask how to get 400HP? Is it some magic number or something?
