I've got a hooker catback on Longtubes and an ORY with stock heads/cam and its pretty quiet untill you get into it. When I first got it on it sounded so quiet i almost didnt like it, but after a couple WOT runs it seems to have broken in a little and gotten a tad louder

Well, my buddy's car (LT's, ORY) ran the same numbers at the track with the Flowmaster and open cut out: 12.94 w/Flowmaster, 12.97 w/open cut out. Mph was the same within a couple of tenths - 106.xx. Same day, I was there, watched the passes, saw the timeslips, etc. Burst my belief bubble that the FM was a major horsepower hog.

My hooker catback on stock manifolds is only a bit louder than stock. It sounds good, smoother with a deeper tone, but don't expect it to be loud at all. I went with hooker because I wanted to keep the volume within reason in the future when I do the rest of the exhaust. From what I've heard it sounds great with LTs and an ORY, real mean.

i had a flowmaster 80 series catback everything else stock then replaced just the muffler with a hooker aerochamber.... both have great tones i prefer the tone of the hooker because its deeper and has a bit more growl but the flowmaster is most definately louder... alot actually. i liked the loudness of the flowmaster and the tone of the hooker... i noticed the car ran better with the hooker too.

My car had the 80 series on it when I bought it and it sounded a lot better than all the others Itest drove. I ended up replacing it with the LM1 until I went to lt's and ory. Now I run the Hooker and am pretty pleased. As said it is pretty tame until wot.
