Default Accessories Question

I have an 03' LQ9 and am going to look at the front accessories off a 00' Camaro LS1 tomorrow. From what I researched here, I'll need the brackets from the Camaro if I wish to run a performance intake on the LQ9 heads.

Now, do I need just the brackets, or will I have to buy the alternator, A/C pump, power steering pump, etc? I guess what I'm asking is will the LQ9 accessories bolt on to the Camaro brackets?

Thanks

The alternator from the LS1 requires a 2nd hole drilled in the LQ9 block. Everything else bolts up. You don't need anything special to run a different intake on your 317 heads.

So all I need is the alternator bracket?

Just transfer everything over from the LS1 as it is on that block. It just bolts right up, once the second hole for the alternator is drilled (you'll see what I mean when you put the bracket on).

Ahh, OK. So I'll need to buy everything off the front of the LS1.

Thanks.

I have one more post entitled "LS6 intake and injector questions" if you have some time....

My intake on my 5.3 would not clear the water pump. I assume it needs to be swapped, and all the different cars have a different spacing... from the block.

My block is an 03'. I haven't been able to get the accessories off the guy's car yet. We're supposed to hook up this afternoon. If I finally get to him today, this week I'll be swapping everything over to the block this week (unless it gets even colder than it is now...)

I'll let you guys know if it has the hole or not. Everyone so far has told me it won't..

it actualy only has one hole... and a boss for a second that isnt drilled, one bolt on the alt bracket wont be used.

the reason why you have to use the F body accessories is that the neck of the water pump gets in the way of the throttle body if you use an LS1/2/6 intake
