Magnaflow has done my truck good. Its a straight through 3" 18" body. Could launch tennis ***** through the thing. Sounds great and isnt too loud. When I want 'too loud' i can always open the cutout lol.

I hate my Magnaflow, way too quiet. I'd rather have Flowmaster or LM.

Have had both Flowmaster, Magnaflow. They both worked well but for my f-body the magnaflow sounds better.

Well I'd agree GMMG should cost more based on what you're getting. Wouldn't you agree it should cost more than Borla/Corsa? considering the design. GMMG comes out of Stainless Works I believe.

You have more mods than me btw, so being "rich" and "tasteful" shouldn't be confused.

I liked mine before I was cammed. Now the rasp can be annoying between like 2200-3000 rpm. Other than that it sounds good. Love the sound at idle and wot!

let me just say something I had a flowmaster for a while and it sounded badass. everyone can talk about how it sucks and cant flow which might be true, but it sounds better than most of the stuff out there. it has that real 1960s muscle car sound. it has a mean idle and and sounds mean at WOT.

now i switched up to a magnaflow since i wanted stainless, better performance, and didnt want to get hassled by the police. to tell you the truth i prefer the sound of the flowmaster. the maganflow is quieter and more refined. not too much of a rumble or grunt. hate to say it but it has a little bit of a mustang sound to it ugh.

now everyone seems to be all caught up on this how well you're muffler flows crap. in my opinion someone needs to test them all to put an end to all the bullshit and opinions being thrown around like they are fact.

as far as gmmg goes it's real expensive. i've heard them on LS1's and if you have a cam on the car then it sound like a weed wacker. serious rasp. they have this stigma attached to them as being the holy grail of cat backs. everyone says they flow the best (regurgitating what they've heard) so thats why they buy them. i cant say they do flow the best since i dont own one and i havent seen dyno comparisons of every cat back on the SAME car (which would probably be expensive and time consuming to do).

magnaflow is a good inexpensive catback just like coated pacesetters are good inexpensive headers. as for sound quality everyone likes something different.

Just because an exhaust is inexpensive doesn't make it low grade. Besides being stainless it sounds and performs great. Nothing cheap about it.

neither am i, just saved for a while and caught a gp purchase. It does sound awsome on the car though, louder inside, and it'll put a nice big smile on your face from the outside. It also gave me a nice gain in performance, really. That said, i wouldn't knock magnaflow either, it looks very nice and it doesn't sound to bad, a little quiet but not bad. It is definitely worth a purchase imo.

magnaflow definitely isn't the k-mart of exhaust. it's a great quality system. it's stainless steel and is put together very nicely. magnaflow has a great reputation for quality.

that being said, i don't like the catback at all. i don't like the tone, it's raspy as hell with an ORY, the tips are the ugliest of any catback, it's too quiet on stock manifolds and it's restrictive over 400rwhp, making it a poor choice for a H/C car (hell, any y-pipe setup is a poor choice for a H/C car IMO). not to mention it's far too common.

i'd never buy it for my car since i don't care for the sound and everyone and your mother has it since it's such a cheap system, but let's not kid ourselves, as much as i don't like the system, it's definitely high quality.
