Default Service Engine Light

OK guys on my way to my local shop to drop off my t/a to get the loudmouth2 installed my service engine light popped on. Oil is changed and all fluids have been checked, the car runs like a champ so what else could be the cause of this. Also my oil light has been coming on but like I said I just changed it. Could it just be bs or should I get it checked out?

Go to Autozone, they will scan your codes for free. Then come back here and post up the codes.

Would disconnecting the battery be enough to clear the oil light or do you have to clear the code with a scanner/software?

DTC P0410 Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System

All codes can be found here....

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/509539-water-got-up-intake-what-now-all-diagnostic-trouble-codes-dtcs-inside.html

Did you delete the AIR sytem? It's the tubes that connect to your exhaust manifolds, one on each side. If you didn't just have them clear the code and see if it comes on again, might just be a random code.

When I installed my whisper lid I disconnected the tube that was on the stock lid and also disconnected the other side of the tube that is connected to the air pump under the left headlight. My cousin said it wasn't nothing but emissions being that I havent installed headers and got a custom tune. I also did not disconnected anything from the exhaust manifolds

To clear the oil light...just put the key in and turn to the on position (don't start the car) and press and hold in the brake pedal 3 times. This should re-set the "Change oil" light. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

hit the gas pedal, not the brake pedal. atleast that is how it is on the majority of GM vehicles. Im not sure on an Fbody, but Im 99% sure its not the brake pedal though.

and, if you took off that line, thats what feeds clean/dry air to the A.I.R.pump. you might have sucked up some water and ruined the A.I.R. pump. see if the fuse is ok for the pump. didnt look to see where your located, but up here in MI. we get water in them, and the water freezes. then you start up your car and the pump doesnt turn on or blows the fuse. resulting in setting the code 410.
check the fuse and, have someone else start the car while you stand next to the drivers front corner of the car. you should hear the pump turn on for a minute or so, then go off.

Yep, check the "AIR PUMP" fuse under the hood. Put the hose back on the air pump and just put a small breather filter on the end of it and zip tie it off somewhere - just don't kink the hose restricting air flow. If the pump is still OK shouldn't get a light. If you don't clear the code it'll take a few cold starts until it goes off.

If you left your AIR fresh air intake tube off for sometime you could have rusted the solenoid valve shut. This can also cause the code to show up. you might try tapping on the solenoid while someone else starts your car when it is dead cold. Be carefull though and don't look directly at the valve port, I was diagnosing a complaint like this on a trailer blazer and tapped it 2-3 times after a start up and the valve popped open and all the water and junk that was trapped in the blower to valve tube blew out all over me. You could also take the car to a GM dealer and have them command that valve or AIR blower on to see if they are working properly.
