Does anyone have documented flow or back to back Dyno numbers to substantiate the claim for poor flow?

Or is this just an opinion?

I agree. You will definitely see a gain. It is just not the most effective in terms of performance. But again...if you already have it...just put in a cutout for when you are running the **** out of it. Normal driving, the B&B sounds great, and looks even better.

+1, curious about that as well. At what point does it become a problem, 350rwhp, 400rwhp, 500rwhp? Anyone with back to back comparisions?

If there is a gain to be had then it's electric cutout time. We run the B&B setup on the SS along with a O/R-Y and Mac Mids and it sounds great, nice mellow sound, and perfect for the daily driver that may also want to carry on a conversation with passengers.

I'm not concerned about my choice or the rumors of marginal increase in performance.

I'm just asking the nay sayers to substantiate their point or give me facts to back up their claim.

Otherwise it's just an opinion and has little merit.

i bought a used B & B for my car a few weeks ago. i have the whole car apart now but it should be back together in about 2 weeks. i have an 3" electric cutout for it also. i will see the difference open vs. closed on the dyno just to see if its that "restrictive". FWIW the car should do 500+ N/A & around 700 on the jug

I have the B&B with LTs and ORY. Sounds awesome at idle and at WOT. I open up the cutout at the track.

A B&B cat back came with my car when I bought it. It sounds pretty good, and I also like the tips. Here is a pic of them.

Damn...my tips dont stick out that much either...I think somebody may have butchered that intermediate pipe and set the muffler too far back...just a thought...

My humble opinion is the B&B is the best sounding LS1 exhaust out there....sounds even better on LT1s because of the different firing order. If you still have stock cats and Y, its pretty quiet...until you get on it...then the motor just sings. With ORY, it sounds badass at idle and even better at WOT...very, very little drone when cruising in 5th or 6th gear compared to many others like GMMG or Loundmouth. The dreaded rasp is still there however if you don't put a bullet in the intermediate pipe, but mine only lasts about 200 Rpms then goes away...with a bullet...its perfect.

Yes, it is expensive...thats why many people dont have it...which is one reason why I love having it..no one can figure out which system I have unless I tell them. I can tell you this though, you get what you pay for. The fit and finish is truly quality, even the welds around the muffler case are a work of art. If you got the cash, go for it, you wont be dissapointed. If you dont have the cash...hell, thats what credit cards are for!

They don't stick out. I think they look that way in the picture because they hang a little low on that car.
