Default intake issues

I seem to have a problem with keeping my airlid connected to my maf sensor. I have a granettelli air lid and a granattelli maf sensor. is there something I am supposed to aid in between the two? It seems as if the lid will not seal tight enough and the maf slips out. I am just worried that i will suck something into my engine and then i will have a bigger problem then what I am dealing with now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thanks in advance

ditch the granatelli maf. stock will work better. if you insist on keeping this on your maf end the part that slides into the lid....wrap that a couple times with electrical tape to thicken it up and let the lid tighten down on it you just dont want to crack it

most tuners wont mess with the aftermarket mafs...thats my only reason. and i believe the give the 02s a false reading wich in returns leans the car out a tad=more power. do you think what i suggested will work i am nowhere near a car right now and going of the top of my head
