Default Exhaust Dumps

Has anyone here bolted exhaust dumps on the ends of your headers? If so did you run into any problems during the install? I am thinking of having a an off road y-pipe for normal DD, but then I could take the plates off when I go to the track and or race.

why dont you just do cutouts? insted of ******* around with taking the y-pipe off each track visit, just open up the cutouts.

yeah, they are usually put further down the y-pipe to avoid getting fresh air on the O2's.

this is an example. i wouldnt reccomend putting them directly off the headers, i would do somthing like this. you could put them directly on the headers on an older car without O2's, but there is a higher risk of burning them out with them that close.

Thanks for the heads up on the O2 sensors. I will probably only install one at the end of the Y-pipe now.
