spark coils interchangable?
spark coils interchangable? Hi
can 1999-2004 ls1 spark coils be bolted to 1998 camaro heads with the existing coil bracket of the stock 1998 motor?
the thing is two coils not working and it`s hard to find a 98 motor here in Kuwait but 2000-2004 motors are available and cheap .... so do I change two coils with two used ones from a newer year or do I change them all ....
and do the coils go weak and slowly lose it or it`s a matter of their working or damaged and that`s all?

Bader-X ive read that the coil packages from 99+ truck engines are the way to go. There are coil sets that are round and ones that look more triangular and the round ones have been said to produce more spark and be more reliable

so it`s not just get what ever ls1 coil and bolt it in.... guess I`ll take my faulty coils and try to find ones that look similar to them (male of female ends although I don`t know how could that be since all spark plugs are the same so how could they connect to both a female/male coil)
