Default Throttle body help!

I'm in the process of having my car dyno tuned. The engine is an LS1 pullout swapped into a 70 camaro. Apparantly the little hole in the throttle plate has been enlarged and they can't get the idle down below 900RPM.

Does anybody have an extra throttle plate laying around or know where I can get one without buying a complete throttle body?

Thanks,
Chris

Call Thunder or New Era, they port throttle bodies all the time and may have a spare laying around. You could post up in the parts for sale section too.

If the shop has a welder they could just tack up the hole and grind it flush, then just re-drill a stock hole which is .165 in. I would help you out but i dont have any spares. Tim

That would work, but make sure they know what they're doing. After it's filled/finished, I'd drill the hole in the other side, or at least in some virgin material. You don't want that welded spot falling out and killing your motor.

Excellent point, i forgot to say that it should be drilled in the other end. wouldnt hurt to countersink the hole on each side to allow for a better weld.

I just so happen to have one, but it has a hole drilled for a 244/248 cam. Might be bigger than the one you already have.
