Factory Exhaust Removal?

Default Factory Exhaust Removal?

I just bought the LM1 exhaust for my 2000 SS. I havent installed it yet. My question is, should I cut my factory SS exhaust to remove it, or go through the pain lowering the rear down to save the factory exhaust from being cut up. Some one told me that the factory SS exhaust is worth saving?

Sawzaw....no factory exhaust is worth saving IMO thats why you are upgrading correct? Factory=no flow or sound

CUT IT, the Factory SS exhaust is basically the same exhaust as a normal Z28 or T/A nothing special, just cut it off, bolt the LM1 up, and ENJOY!!!!!!!!!

should have just cut the muffler off your stock exhaust and not bought the loudmouth. you get the same exact sound but you save whatever the loudmouth cost you.

It's seriosly just as fast to just lower the right side of the axle, unbolt the upper PHR and bottom bolt from the RR shock, and then take the whole catback out at once.

If you've done it both way's you'd agree as well!

i belive that if the axel is suspended, you can just remove the panhard bars...

we did mine on a lift and just sawed it off in 2 places. Took about 5 minutes.
