Default Exhaust sound

Is there any reasonable way to get a 2001 z28 to sound like the vette in this video (second or third exhaust set up not the stock one) using a y-pipe.
http://video.ls1tech.com/category/Ex...ba011eac71.htm

Before someone gets smart I am not buying a corvette.

You don't want to sound like that. Thing sounds like it has a loudmouth on it with a hole somewhere.

No way it sounds good to me. I like the deep tone of the borla stingers (the second set up).

My neighbor has a Borla system on his 'vette, doesn't tickle my pickle.

I bet when he drives that car around, it sounds like catless LM setup on an f-body. Cars tend to sound better revving out and going WOT than when they are tooling around, and tooling around accounts for 90% of the time you're going to hear the damn thing.

Someone needs to tell that guy to depress the clutch and apply the brakes when slowing down.

I like my catless LM II setup. Only two people said they don't like it. My mom, and my ex-gf. Everyone else loves it. People on this board seem to either love it or hate it. I listened to a lot of clips before getting my setup, and I'm not disappointed at all. Mine sounds similar to that third clip. My setup is in my sig.

That being said, I know for a fact I would probably love a ton of exhuast configurations, from a deep rumble to the higher pitched "scream". It just sucks I had to pick only one. I am happy with it though. Dropped jaws are the best reaction you could ask for.

Opinions will vary, welcome to the United States!

Some people like what they like, and they shouldn't give a bakers **** if nobody else does. My car sounds like a church mouse talking through a sock 99% of the time I'm driving it, and I like it.

I like that last sound clip, it sounds kind of exotic. I think corvettes sound different because of there exhaust setup, they are dualed, plumbed different and more intrakit. Thats also why the cast around a G

Look at this Borla Kit, way different from an F-body.

Now that's a new one...

To the original poster, gonna be tough to get that sound out of an f-body, even with duals run out the back like vettes have. Off the record, the only vette I've ever heard that I like (save for Tony M's), is my friend's with the B&B Bullet. Corsa with cats on the f-body has an exotic tone, if I had to say anything from what I've personally heard, that is at least SOMEWHAT similar.

the vette is also alot shorter than a f body gonna be hard to get that sound through a y.sounds stupid but you could try a no muffler setup.that may get that raspy sound you are lookin for.

was it just me or did the 2nd vid also get a driver mod?

Speaking of mice Blur were you drivin down Dowlen Sat morning with cut-out open? My car will give you that kinda noise on decel that that vette did in the 3rd part of the vid.

I like how my car sounds right now but it has a stock exhaust minus the muffler. My only complaint is the popping noise when I shift. With my newly ordered Pacesetter LTs and ORY it might be too raspy and loud. I don't know but I will give it a try. I just liked how the corvette in the vid sounded and figured it might be possible to replicate it or have it sound similar.

Probly impossible with the y-pipe.

Borla sells the mufflers that they use in the stinger system. They call them the "s-type" mufflers. If you did true duals with an x pipe with those mufflers out back (behind the bumper) I think it would sound similar.

intrakit??? maybe intricate

Drives me nuts that people are too dumb to spell anything right, yet too lazy to look it up when it's right there!!

Here's a suggestion:

dictionary.com

Now, I know people are going to get all bent over this, but did you ever wonder why America is losing it's advantages to other countries? Think about it. If you can't take two seconds to check if a word is spelled right, I'll bet you won't care when Raj/Oksana/Sadir takes your job because he/she can.

Ok, enough with my rant.
