I know there are a ton of MAC haters here, but I think I got a pretty killer deal on these and am pretty excited to get the install going.

2 1/2" pipe is more than adequate since there are 2.. that go into the 3".. you dont really NEED to have 2 3" pipes to a 3"... just alot of high hp applications call for it.. but if you;re not over 400hp.. then you dont need the full 3" Y.. and if you had 400hp.. i would HOPE you had a 3 1/2-4" after the Y

i'm one of those mac haters the OP eluded to in his opening post. all i can say is good luck, hope you got a really good deal to warrant the purchase of mids and that they do look nice with the new coating.
