Go with which one that you feel most comfortable with both are good headers with good fitment the only thing is do you want coated or uncoated if coated go with the pacesetters because they are cheaper than the coated hedmans but if uncoated go with the hedmans because they are $50-70 cheaper than the uncoated pacesetters and you could put the extra cash towards something else ask anyone who has hedmans and they will tell you that they are not the best but a quality header thats easy to install and will give a similar if not the same horsepower gain as pacesetters I dont think you could lose with either I went with the hedmans because I have FRC's, I dont care about the coating, and I hear nothing but good from people who has hedmans, and they are a great bang for the buck just get which one that you feel most comfortable with spending your money on IMO.

it doesn't take more than 10 seconds of browsing the external engine section of LS1tech to realize pacesetters will absolutely dominate this poll. this is going to be one of the most biased polls on LS1tech. the only poll i can see more one-sided is "should i buy an f-body or a ford escort". i wonder which will win.
pacesetters are proven. if you're not going with stainless steel, pacesetters are the only header you should buy with the possible exception of edelbrocks if you need stepped and don't mind painted headers. anything else is throwing money away because you get no better quality/fitment/performance.
well cause the ones that came with the car are not ceramic coated and i believe they are 1 5/8 and im switching to the race style.... was going to go with QTP but ran in a few problems n don't have all the extra money i had be4

I did search b4 and all you see is Pacesetter like you said.
I really created this thread to hear what the Hedman guys have to say.

i have hedmans and they went in no problems, and i haven't had a problem with them since they've been on. it's been about 10k miles. we notched the k-member about a .5 inch by an inch on the drivers side, not really a big deal just kept it from tapping on take off when the engine shifted a bit.They're great for the money, and the ory is nice too, both for around $335 from jegs. my buddy has the pacesetters, and they're a nice, quality header too. i guess it depends on how much power you're wanting to achieve. i have b&g springs, so my car is fairly low, and no scraping issues on the headers, the ory does on speed bumps. I've heard the flowtech's suck, but i can't confirm that. with the exception of the guy earlier, i haven't read of anyone else that has them and say they suck or they're not satisfied with them. But everyone is biased so get what you want.

pacesetters all the way had mine on for over a year and havent even shown any rust on them yet,buddy has hookers and you can see spots of rust on his.

Not trying to hijack the thread, but I have a question.
Im going with pacesetter lt's soon. Is it really worth it to pay $100 extra for the ceramic? I live in east tx, so rusting really isnt a problem (never has been in the past) and its not like you can really see the headers anyway, so apperance isnt a big concern either. Im on a budget too, so im trying to get the best part for the price.
