headers and intake installed this weekend WOW!!! well i finaly got to install my pacesetters and wieand intake
over the weekend.I installed the intake first whichIMO is a poor design.Thers alot of grinding that has to be done to get the damn thing to seal properly + the coolant lines have to be changed to the ls6 or moddified which I done using high temp/pressure hose and a double flare tool.had about 10 dollars in doing this.but the power increase was amazing over the stock ls1 manifold.
Then I took the car to my brother in laws shop were we installed the headers.it took longer to remove the egr and air than it did to install the headers. the pass side slid right in.the drivers side we cut off the tab on the block to keep from scratching my new headers.we then made a custom 3" ory and installed the cutout rite behind the y.
The power gain is almost unbelievable.I made a video of it running open headers but dont know how to post it.
I had a mail order tune done by WAIT4ME and he hit it pretty damn good.BEfore i could stop on street tires and spin halfway through 2nd gear now the thing doesnt move till it hits 3rd.Im gonna have a dyno done after my bank acount recovers from doin this.sorry for the long post im just a little tickled with the performance improvments these parts made
