Stupid lid ?
Stupid lid ? I know this has probably been asked a million times so forgive me for asking. I really like the clear MTI lid but I have seen that some have had fitment issues with it. Also it costs like $40 more than an SLP lid which from what I see fits much better. Is the MTI lid worth it or should I just go with the SLP? The gains should be pretty darn close I would think.

it comes down to are you willing to pay $40 more for just a nicer looking peice? plus if you have a car with AIR youll need to go buy a k&n filter for it (another $15). the slp ones have the attachment already in place. that's why i went with slp.

My arguement may seem "unfounded" to you, but most people regularly clean their filter...so I hardly think that your "judgement" is any more "founded".
Anyways, it simply amounts to, do you want to spend your money goin fast, or lookin good.

Not to mention the MTI lid in the GM article got the best time reduction out of all of them in the 1/4.. Just a heads up smart guy. The lid does look good. But how relevent is 1.2HP on cars making over 300 anyway? Really? That equates to less than 1% additional hp for an additional 40bux. As stated before, a lid, is a lid, is a lid. But what you like.
