Question Which Optima Battery???

Which model is everyone using? I know it says to use the 75/25-910 for our cars but I've heard and seen some people using the 34/78-1050...??? What are the differences and is it a big deal?

i believe the difference is that one size isnt made in yellow top, i have a yellow top. the actual size for our cars is the size the red top comes in, but honestly they are so similar, and they both have top and GM side posts...

I have the 34/78 too. Fit in my car perfect, but the front lip on my battery tray is broken off.

Hmmm nifty. I've been wanting to buy a Yellowtop, and my battery tray is broken (that stupid weak front lip). Now it looks like the $35 I was going to spend on a new coolant bottle assembly can just go towards the battery if they come with mounts that work Anybody have any pics of the installed hold-down?

I use the stock screw-in hold down on the rear side, and it just sits flat with the core support metal on the front. Fits like a glove.

Mine too. It is heavy enough to stay put though with the red-top. That is until I start making power and raise the front end daily.

So the 34/78 should fit no problems? It will use the stock battery clip for the hold down? I'm thinking of getting the 34/78!
