I had a TSP Y, and had swapped it for a mufflex (wasn't doing it for the rasp, I had actually damaged the Y pipe and had to change it). The difference it made was incredible in regards to the sound, took the rasp out all together.

And in regards to your above question, it really depends what you have as far as money goes. True duals will be better sound and performance-wise, but you really need to look into ground clearance. There are very few true dual setups I've seen on here that have what I consider to be acceptable ground clearance.

So how did you hook up the mufflex Y to your catback? It has a 4" outlet doesn't it? Did you have to weld on a reducer to the end of it, or what did you do? That thing is expensive too O_O. lol

Edit: Oh yeah, will the Mufflex ORY fit on the Pacesetter headers? It keeps saying it's for Hooker headers. If it will fit, where would be the cheapest place I could find it?

Thanks for all your help

It comes with a 4" to 3" reducer. And I picked it up at Thunder because they had it in stock, didn't really shop around. A lot of our sponsors should sell it.

I would say it would fit. I have it on my Jethot's. TByrne told me it would require modifications to fit it up, but I found that to be incorrect. I got mine from Thunder Racing for $335. You will need a 4 inch to 3 inch reducer unless you are going to run a Mufflex 4 inch catback. Its a very nice piece, however, its a beast. I can email you some pics of it (on the kitchen floor) if you want. PM me your email address.

Ok, so wait, LSUxBlake, does it come with the reducer in the box? Or do you mean you bought one separately?

Does this thing take any welding to put together? Even in the reducer?

Running cats is a big reason there would be no rasp. A ypipe configuration has rasp associated with it by nature. ORY is more rasp.

I would get some good high flow cats, good FM collector, and have a custom ypipe made. This should work with most catbacks and have minimal rasp.

You could always go True Duals. Bassani makes a great True Dual kit, that's stainless steel. True Duals will have the least rasp of all, and sound the best.

Yeah. I don't want to get the car any quieter though, so no cats. Thats why I asked about the two choices eariler. 1. changing the ORY. Or 2. Going duals.
