Draining the block of coolant?

I am not a double jointed contortionist, so I just drained the radiator; re-filled with water; ran car; and repeated numerous times. I may have used a Prestone flush chemical also. I think at some point, I just stuck a garden hose in the top of the radiator, cracked the drain petcock, and let the car run for about half an hour with the heater on.By the way, you might have an easier time if you have a bunch of stuff off the engine.
