what is a good converter for high hp?

what is a good converter for high hp? will the carrsound converter be enough my car makes low 400s on motor and around 600 on the spray . i have a tsp offroad pipe and i just can't stand the gas smell anymore .
so will putting one 3 inch converter in the I pipe get rid of the gas smell and not hurt my perfor5mance and sound?
